So I was contacted by a member of Greg billings and the Stay up lates band to run sound ,I was told it's was an acoustic gig , Well it was beyond that it turns out I met Joey and i was amazed at this bango setup i even got to play it , It was a modified banjo with a snare inside and a metal cover with cleats on the neck which was being used as a hi hat and other special effects , The kick drum pedal was modified to hit the Cajon which was better sounding then most real kick drums , He had 1 cymbal and it was all he needed !! This guy played with taste and perfect meter . As the show went on it was clear he was a real professional, He play the songs not the drums everything just fit , This was really a group of guys who play for the people not for them selves , If you ever get to see Joey play you will get it !!!
